September 5, 2014 Larry Chance & The Earls - The Hannibal Concert Association presents Larry Chance & The Earls at Hannibal LaGrange University's Roland Fine Arts Center. Doors open at 6:30, concert starts at 7:30. $20 at the door. $5 for students.

September 6, 2014 Buddy Walk - Bring your friends, family, spouse or dog to the Healthy Way Fitness Trail at the Hannibal Regional Healthcare Campus for the 2014 Buddy Walk against cancer. Each person will receive a shirt and each dog will receive a bandanna. Everyone participating will also have the opportunity for a free professional photograph with their buddy. $20 per person and $5 per dog. More details at hrhf.com

September 6, 2014 Mighty Mudder Bash N' Dash - Get Muddy for a great cause with Hannibal's first Color/Mud Run! The fun begins at 9:30 AM with a kid's run, followed by a competitive flight and a fun flight. October 17 &18 - Halloween Walk at Mark Twain Lake Campgrounds - Oct. 17th 6pm-9pm and Oct. 17 4pm - 9pm young trick-or -treaters will have the opportunity to show off their costumes and trick or treat at the Mark Twain Lake Corps Campground. $5 per car will be charged to provide lighting and park safety services for this fun event. November 22 & 23, 2014 - Annual deer hunt for disabled persons - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, enthusiastic volunteer hunters, White-Tails Unlimited, and the Local Lions Club are planning the Annual Deer Hunt for disabled individuals which will be held at Mark Twain Lake. The hunt will be held during the 2014 Missouri Rifle Deer season on Saturday, November 22 and Sunday, November 23 in the Indian Creek Recreation Area. The hunt will be restricted to 35 permanently disabled (non ambulatory, semi ambulatory) individuals having a valid 2014 Missouri firearms deer tag and a hunter safety certification card.

All hunters must comply with the 2014 Missouri Department of Conservation hunting regulations. To insure a safe hunting experience, certain procedures will be in effect throughout the two day hunt. Hunters will be required to hunt from and stay in the blinds while in the field.

Weapons are restricted to 20-gauge or larger slug shotguns, muzzle loader or bow and arrow. Participants must have Hunter Education.

Applications must be received on or before September 15, 2014 to qualify for the hunt. A drawing to select participants will be held on September 17, 2014 at 8 a.m. at the Mark Twain Lake Project Office.
