21st Annual River Arts Festival
The 21st Annual River Arts Festival will fill Hannibal’s Historic Main Street with summer fun on the Saturday and Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend. The May 24 and 25 festival attracts many fine arts and fine craft exhibitors and thousands of visitors each year. Still, we do what we do for the Hannibal area….we want you to come out and enjoy the festival. Exhibitors in the festival will share their talents in such areas as watercolor, pottery, jewelry, photography, drawing, oils, sculpture, glass, fiber arts, fine crafts, and many other mediums. Besides artist exhibitors, there will be plenty of food booths to enjoy, a wine tasting area, and performances.
Artists and artisans exhibit and sell their creations from 10 until 5 on Saturday and 10 until 4 on Sunday. Fine art, funky art, fine crafts, traditional arts, homemade foods, and performances round out this great holiday weekend. Celebrate the arts and explore Downtown Hannibal this Memorial Day Weekend at the River Arts Festival. Exhibitors are accepted into the festival by a selection process. The Hannibal Arts Council jury committee completely reselected all the exhibitors for this year’s festival. There were many new exhibitors chosen for the festival in 2008. The Hannibal Arts Council believes in providing festival goers with quality exhibitors and a weekend full of the arts and fun.
Come to Downtown Hannibal this Memorial Day Weekend...a great weekend for the entire family. For more information on the Hannibal Arts Council’s River Arts Festival, contact HAC at (573) 221-6545, visit their website at www.hannibalarts.com or email them at festivals@hannibalarts.com.
