Mark Twain Boyhood Museum
The Mark Twain Boyhood Home & Museum has been in operation in Hannibal, Missouri since 1912.  The mission of the Mark Twain Boyhood Home and Museum is to promote awareness and appreciation of the life and works of Mark Twain and to demonstrate the relevance of his stories and ideas to citizens of the world. We are open seven days a week throughout the year. Closed New Year's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Open 9-5 Daily

Learn about the life and times of "Unsinkable" Molly Brown in her restored home in Hannibal, Missouri. The Molly Brown Museum has recently been updated inside and out. Stop in to learn the history of Molly Brown and her connection to the Titanic. Did you know Molly was on her way to Hannibal when the Titanic sank? Visit her Hannibal birthplace and learn more about this legendary American heroine. See the restored Irish immigrant's cottage where Molly's rags to riches story began.

Explore the rich history of Hannibal's remarkable past! Photographs, artifacts, and interactive exhibits tell the stories of the first log cabins in 1819, the Antebellum years of slavery and steamboats, the coming of the railroads and Civil War, the prosperity of the lumber barons during Hannibal's Gilded Age, and prominent Hannibalians throughout the 19th and 20th centuries. Take a step back in time, Rockcliffe Mansion is on the National Register of Historic Places. Tour a turn-of-the-century mansion. Rockcliffe Mansion is a 13,500 sq.ft grand residence built on a 4 acres overlooking the Might Mississippi River and the historic town of Hannibal. Built between 1898 and 1900 by lumber baron John J. Cruikshank, Jr. with his wife and four daughters, the family lived in Rockcliffe until 1924. Decorated int he Art Nouveau style, popular from 1890 - 1910, most of the original antique furnishings and fixtures are preserved and on display. The Mansion is filled with rich mahogany, oak and walnut appointments, magnificent Palladian windows and the finest interior decorations from America and Europe.  Numerous architectural  features can never again be duplicated. After being abandoned for 43 years,  Rockcliffe Mansion was saved just days before demolition was to begin. Stop by today to see the 30 rooms now available for public viewing.

The Mark Twain Cave Complex boasts America's Oldest and Newest Show Caves. Mark Twain Cave is Missouri's first Show Cave. The cave was first shown in 1886 and is a Registered National Natural Landmark.We are located approximately one mile south of Hannibal on Highway 79. Also experience "Mark Twain Live" by Jim Waddell at Cave Hollow Theatre. Raconteur Jim Waddell reweaves yarns first spun by the creator of some of our most treasured literature.
