Hannibal is home to two public golf clubs and courses. Norwoods is an 18-hole public course that features a golf shop and driving range. The American Legion Public Golf Course is a 9-hole public course. Both courses welcome tourists and groups.
Hannibal Ramp Park, operated by Hannibal Parks and Recreation, is a multi-use extreme sports park located in Huckleberry Park. This 8,800 sq. ft. playground features below-grade concrete bowls, grind blocks, handrails and more, designed to bring out your inner Tony Hawk.
The Mark Twain Cave was written about in five of Twain’s books. This famous cave was also used by Jesse James as a hideout following his 1879 bank robbery in Saverton, Mo. His signature remains on the cave to this day. The accompanying campground is open April 1 through October 31 for camping and features plenty of amenities making it perfect for groups of all sizes.
Featuring 464 acres of natural wooded land offering scenic views of the Mississippi is Riverview Park. Riverview Park features picnic tables, shelters, walking trails, playgrounds and beautiful year-round views of the Mighty Mississippi.
Take a beautiful walk in the woods a few blocks from downtown at Sodalis Nature Preserve. The 185 acre park is Hannibal’s second-largest, and offers a paved walking and biking loop and the opportunity for woodland hiking.
