Mark Twain Cave
Mark Twain Cave is Missouri’s oldest show cave and boasts the status of being a national landmark. Experienced guides will escort you on a 60-minute tour of the cave where the walkways are smooth and there are no steps. The cave is not wheelchair accessible due to its natural state. Mark Twain Cave stays a constant 52 degrees year round! A light jacket or sweater is recommended on the tours. Sensible walking shoes are suggested while you are on your tour.
Cameron Cave is Missouri’s newest show cave, and the tours are done with lanterns and flashlights and are fun for the whole family. The cave remains 57 degrees year round so a light jacket is recommended as well as sensible walking shoes. Cameron Cave is shown May through September to allow bats to hibernate during the fall and winter months.
Gemstone Sluicing at Cave Hollow
Visitors to Mark Twain Cave Complex can also sluice for gemstones. Bags of gemstones can be purchased at the rock shop, and examples of the semi-precious gems you may find while using the 50 foot sluice are included with your bag.
