“Never refuse to do a kindness unless the act would work great injury to yourself, and never refuse to take a drink– under any circumstances. – Mark Twain

If you enjoy good wine and good books – you’ll be right at home in Hannibal, MO!

Sip some of Missouri’s finest wines and sample Missouri’s only cave-aged cheese at Hannibal’s winery, located at the Mark Twain Cave Complex. Several options are available, including wine tasting, a variety of live music performances throughout the week, lovely outdoor seating in a relaxed wooded setting, and of course the opportunity to sample some delectable cave-aged cheese!

The Cave Hollow West Winery has wine labels and names based on some of Mark Twain’s most famous books – The Gilded Page, a fine port, was named for Twain’s book, The Gilded Age.  The Innocents Abroad, Mark Twain’s travel book – inspired the name An Innocent Broad.

A dry red is perhaps the most impressive.  The Mark Twain Reserve is as wonderful to gift as it is to enjoy.  Its distinguished label and complex taste makes it the perfect accompaniment for a fine candlelit dinner.
