With summer right around the corner, Hannibal’s downtown is buzzing with excitement. To kick off the entertainment, Hannibal Marketing Council celebrates Mark Twain and all of his accomplishments with the Twain on Main Festival, May 27 and 28.  The weekend will be full of food, spirits, music, games, and more. So grab the kids and experience an adventure worthy of Twain himself!

This year’s festival is scheduled to be the largest Twain on Main festival with nearly 200 vendors expected. Vendors include Halsey Hardwood, Crazy Lady Crafts, Yumeez Ice Cream Shop, Creative Garden & Gifts, and more. twain2

Along with food and crafts there will be plenty of entertainment for children and adults.  Main Street is set up to feature Twain’s novels – “The Prince and the Pauper”, “Roughing It”, and “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer”.   Jump from one book to the next as you move along Main Street with music and dancing from the Renaissance era, shooting marbles with Tom and Becky, and watching the Omeyocan Dance Company perform native dances in the “Roughing It” area.  Adults can also enjoy a beer and wine garden accompanied by live music throughout the festival. Located at Hill and North Main Street will be the Wine Garden where you can relax in the shade while sampling spirits.  Check out all of the exciting opportunities below:
